   TIAN Yanga graduate of PKU IPR went to Hong Kong for investigation

    

    TIAN Yang, a graduate of PKU IPR and also of human rights program of PKU Law School, went to Asian Legal Resource Center/Asian Human Rights Commission for investigation in Hong Kong from 25 September to 10 October 2008.

    The issue of Human rights is related to population research. He went to the Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC) and learned the details of Sex Discrimination Ordinance (SDO) and Family Status Discrimination Ordinance (FSDO) in Hong Kong. At a NGO called Ziteng which was aiming protect the rights and benefits of sex workers, he knew more about the living circumstances and other problems of sex workers. He watched a parade which was composed of low income people for their basic need. He also investigated the legal system, especially the court and the lawyer, in Hong Kong.

    He learned more about the importance of multi-subjects research. He is ready to give a speech to us.
