Qingfeng Li from IPR in
PKU attended HDCA 2008 annual conference
Sep. 9th-13th, 2008 Qingfeng Li from Institute of Population Research in
Peking University attended the Human Development and Capability
Association 2008 annual conference held in New Delhi, India. The annual
conference was host by Institute of Human Development (IHD).
Participations of the annual conference included Martha Nussbaum, the
president of the conference and professor from Oxford University,
Professor Sabina Alkire the director of Oxford Poverty and Human
Development Initiative, Professor Sudhir Anand from Harvard University
and other scholars in the fields of human development.
The objective of the conference is to promote Interdisciplinary research
in the human development and capability approach. The papers came from
various subjects, such as economics, politics, demography, psychology,
philosophy and etc.
As the regular conference of HDCA, the annual conference assembles the
most influential researches in the field of human development in the
previous year. Qingfeng Li’s paper entitled “A Game Theoretical
explanation of missing women” was accepted by the conference.
